Counting Your Blessings...One by One
It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High, to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night. ( Psalms 92:1-2)

Everyone has heard the saying: "if you can’t sleep... try counting blessings instead of sheep." If we counted all our blessings–we would never get through.

It is a known fact that people spend a lot of time worrying about things that will never actually happen to them. God tells us to trust completely in Him, and not to worry about what is going to happen tomorrow, because He has already taken care of it.

We should remember to thank God everyday for the many blessings He bestows on us and our loved ones.

While it’s true sometimes we are handed lemons–these lemons can turn out to be blessings too–if we learn how to turn a bad situation into one that helps us to grow spiritually.

In the middle of a trial or tribulation it is very difficult to see a light at the end of our dark tunnel–but rest assured there will be light in God’s due time. And we will emerge as stronger people.

I know it’s hard to believe anything good could come out of suffering. Well, let’s look at a great example: Childbirth is very painful, but at the end of the long laborious ordeal-- a beautiful baby is placed in the arms of the mother, and suddenly the pain fades away replaced by wondrous joy.

If you or someone you know is going through a very difficult time–you can help reassure them that "this too shall pass" when God is ready to end the trial by fire.
