PATRIOTIC

 

When I hear the "Star Spangled Banner" my heart is uplifted

                                           and filled. . .

                                       with great pride.

I am somberly reminded of all the sacrifices and the blood shed

                           by combat soldiers who have died. . .

                                 Fighting for our freedoms.

When I hear the meaningful words resonated so loud and

                                                clear. . .

I am reminded of everything in my great country, I hold dear.

For without the great men and women willing to serve in wars. . .

And without the dedication from our brave fighting corps,

                                    Where would we be?

 

As "Old Glory" waves and the conductor strikes up the band.

Let the words ring out. . . sounding throughout all the land,

Hear ye, hear ye. . .please stand in reverence and show respect.

For it is a time to rejoice and on God’s great blessings

                                            daily. . .

                                             reflect.
