In Memory of Jim
I don’t think that Jim knew what a positive impact he was really having on his listeners on his radio program: "America Speaks". With his health declining due to a heart attack several years ago, and his vision deeply impaired from diabetes, he told his devoted wife Jennette, while returning back from the Salem Veteran Hospital in Virginia one evening-- that he might be in a wheelchair, and he might not could see, but he could still talk, and he was going to look into launching a conservative radio call-in talk show soon.
Jim truly believed in his heart, that he could do something constructive to help Americans fight back to restore America back to a morally stable, and respectful nation. A nation that would once again look to God for guidance, and direction-- as the leaders of our forefathers had done so many years ago.
Jim knew there would be liberals who would disagree with his unwavering, and uncompromising stance, because he was a Republican and a devout Christian. But nevertheless he pushed forward-- determined to begin his new mission. And through his radio program his popularity endeared him to many listeners, and he became a force for the liberal listeners to have to contend with.
On July 2, 2006, Jim received an honorable "Doctorate of Ministry" degree from the Piedmont College of Theology for 17 years of operating his own religious publishing business. Through Jim’s "Sunday School Outreach" program over 1.5 million people became new members of churches all over the nation. What an amazing accomplishment!
While in the Navy, Jim was in his proper element teaching the Bible to fellow sailors. He was proud to serve his country, and often said that if he was still a young man, in good health, he would serve again, and go to Iraq. Yes, Jim was the epitome of what a true American should be.
All too soon, Jim’s mission was cut short, but the impact and example he left behind-- will inspire his family and friends to continue to strive to make a difference by speaking out when they see things happening in the country that will be detrimental to the well-being of all Americans.
Jim’s life touched all who were fortunate enough to know and love him. And his legacy will live on through his loving family for generations to come.
Thank you Jim for being a part of our lives, and you will always be remembered fondly by those who lives you touched in such a positive way.
