Eminent Domain
On June 23, 2005, a black day in history was made by the United States Supreme Court, when they voted 5-4 that private projects trumps the rights of property owners. When making their ruling they unwisely used as a basis for their ruling, the last part of the Fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution which reads as follows: "nor be deprived of life, liberty or property without the process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation." Can any intelligent person comprehend this as justification for the United States Supreme Court arriving to their conclusion, that it’s legal for the city to seize private property to be sold to private developers to develop their shopping malls, condominiums and other projects that will bring more revenue to the city? This is pure Communism! What do you think about that?January 30, 2006
State of Emergency on U.S. Borders
February 6, 2006
Illegal immigration poses one of the greatest dangers to our country above anything else I can think of. It is my opinion we are being invaded by illegals, who are endangering the lives of all Americans. We need to start treating them like the criminals they are, instead of allowing them to use our social programs to their advantage. One third of all immigrants are on welfare, paid for by you the hard working tax paying Americans. How do you feel about that? California has closed 84 hospitals in the last few years because of illegals receiving free medical treatment. If they do work, they don’t pay taxes the first seven years in this country. Many have found they can leave just before the seven years are up, then come back and start the process all over again. When is the last time you spent seven years without paying taxes? Never-Right?
Two governors declared a State of Emergency on their borders adjoining Mexico in August of 2005. The Governors are: Bill Richardson, Democratic governor of New Mexico, who declared borders in four counties adjoining Mexico in a State of Emergency on August 12, 2005. Governor Janet Napolitano declared a State of Emergency on the Borders of Arizona and Mexico, on August 15, 2005. The reasons given by both governors: their citizens had demanded something be done about illegals pouring across the borders, vandalizing property, killing cows, stealing property, running gun battles on highways between rival drug dealers. Prior to that week both governors had been weak on illegals, allowing them to obtain driver’s licenses in their states.
Estimates of illegals coming into the United States through all our borders are as high as 30,000 daily, which added up to almost 12 million last year. According to Homeland Security, 8,000 Al-Qaida related illegals were captured last year. However, the bad news is they think this only represented 20% of the ones who got through. If their figures are correct, there are 32,000 more in our country waiting to destroy more American lives. What do you think about that?
On Friday, August 19, Senator J. D. Hayworth, Republican from Arizona, said in an interview on Fox News "he believes the United States to be in a State of Emergency!" Do you think he is right? I support George W. Bush on most things, but it is my opinion that he needs to get his head out of the sand on this one. This past week in the "State of the Union Address," the President said "the economy cannot function without immigrants." Mr. President here is where I strongly disagree with you! You are so wrong about this!
It is my opinion that our "borders" are in a State of Emergency and we must do something to stop the hordes of illegals coming across everyday. The Border Patrol is drastically undermanned, and until our lawmakers have the backbone to send the National Guard to protect our borders, I say allow the Minute Men to do what they are capable of
doing. Studies have shown when they are manning the borders, the illegals entering the United States slows down drastically. Last year the Border Patrol was supposed to get 2,000 new agents, but our government only funded 200. This is absurd!
Call or write your congressmen and senators today. You can also call Public Opinion at the White House at (202)-456-1111, follow instructions and you will eventually be able to speak to a real live person. You will only be asked what state you are calling from and for your comment. The reason this is so important: every call or letter is multiplied by so many thousand people who feel the way you do, but will not call!
Furthermore I believe we should round up all the illegals and kick them out of the country. What do you think? If immigrants want to come to America, let them do it legally!
What are you willing to do about this State of Emergency on the U.S. Borders? Doing nothing is a very dangerous thing!
